INTRODUCTION
YouTube is an enormous resources helping us with access to a massive wealth of bi-directional information. One can research or explore almost every topic under the sun, respond with posts, opinions, conversation, and even create their own channels with opportunities to earn money for their efforts and share their information. Some people even publish entire serquiences of videos to provide an entire multi-session course on topics of interest to the wider public. I have found many invaluable course on topics of my interest. I might also want to make a major purchase and am engaged in all aspects of the research on the product, market, competitors, features, purchasing alternative sources, warranty, and in depth reviews. I might wish to share my research with my family or others to save them time and effort. This organizational capability is lacking in YouTube.
POTPLAYER OVERVIEW
Until now I would simply view my YouTube videos in my favorite browser. Some people use YouTube Download facility to download and save videos but this can take time and fill valuable space on the user’s disks. So in the course of exploring various video players, I happened upon PotPlayer and it totally blew me away. Some of its features are:
- Ability to create playlists, copy to other computers, share with others
- Ability to instantly create Bookmarks, edit the Bookmark text to show meaningful text instead of “Bookname 1”, and display a thumbnail on the timeline.
- Massive capabilities in video control such as size, quality (1080P), and numerous video adjustments.
- Also one can pause the video, set up the target folder to save captured images from the video, and capture the current video image, and save it to the folder. Potplayer will use the current video title and add a unique id to the default image name but one can moidify the filename as much or little as the user wishes according their naming conventions. This means instant, easy image retrieval, full control over where to store any or all images, and full file naming control.
- Ability to simplify usage of PotPlayer by assigning KeyStroke short cuts. The copy of PotPlayer and navigation to each facility are so enormous that it can become overwhelming. So I use a the first letter of the concept (Bookmark, File, etc) in conjunction with Shift, Alt, and Control to simplify the usage and increase ease of use.
- Ability to move forwards or backwards by user controlled intervols of 1 frame, a few seconds, minutes, etc. according to the users requirements.
MY PROJECT AS AS EXAMPLE
PROJECT MISSION
I am currently working on upgrading the entire Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) to 21st Century unambiguous, color-coded, beautiful, illustrated typography showing all the brilliance and secrets that no one truly knows about.
Because of my diverse background, I add dimensions of linguistics,, archaeology, history, and so forth but strongly stress context driven analysis and understanding with images to bring it to life.
BACKGROUND
Hebrew was the first language until the Tower of Babel and is the only Multi-Dimensional Language. Letters have names with real meanings, values, along with literary techniques for secret message embedding along with usage conventions. We began with Proto-Sinaitic and Proto-Canaanite, evolved to Proto-Hebrew and eventually lost Hebrew as our daily language along with proficiency and deep cultural connection, and shifted to Aramaic with the Assyrian alphabet, and recently revived Hebrew as our national language.
So Hebrew was also the first Phonetic Alphabet invented by Joseph and his two sons: Menashe and Ephraim. And Moses was the primary beneficiary as he and G-d required a multi-dimensional language to convey all the dimensions and levels of the Bible. As such, ALL TRANSLATIONS LOSE 90% OF THE CONTENT IN TRANSLATION. My work is unique in that I eliminate all ambiguities in the typography, help eliminate common mistakes in pronounciation with color-coding, uses beautiful aesthtic fonts which I have modified to help where needed, provide “Author Notes” to bring out all secrets, typographical techniques to show “Hidden Messages”, detailed explanations of literary techniques.
VISUAL IMAGES BRING THE BIBLE TO LIFE
Almost all texts and translations of the Bible are limited to text-only material. One important dimension of any story is the people and having some kind of visual image of the people even though the images are not authentic. If it helps to somehow show the context, the cultural styles, family structures, and so forth, the Bible somehow can be transformed into real events and people that we can better related to. I also bring out the backgrounds that are in the Bible but overlooked, the emotions that drive the people and events, totally transforming the stories.
EXPEDIENT IMAGE ACQUISITION
I found a massive amount of materials on YouTube covering the Bible, linguistics, archaeology, and more. The content is often biased and loaded with material promoting the agenda of the producer which I can easily filter but also contains high quality images which I can capture and use to illustrate my work with minimum effort using PotPlayer.
HOW I USE POTPLAYER
I am describing here how I use PotPlayer but I am NOT telling you how you must use it. It is up to each of us to explore possibilities of usage, learn from others,, and ultimately decide on what methods suite our individual personality and fit in with how we and our brains work.
I first identify my requirements and objectives and decided on which facilities are the most important for my usage. Once I have piloted my exploratory efforts, I catalog my requirements and assign keystroke short cuts. I begin with SHIFT and the initial letter. If I alsready used that letter I look at ALT and CTRL. Note that when you go to assign a keystroke, PotPlayer will let you know if there is a conflict and allow you either forgo the current assignment or make adjustments to you keystroke sequence toi make sure you can choose wisely and not tample existing assignments.

EXAMPLES LOST IN TRANSLATION
STORY OF NOAH IMBEDDED USE OF NUMBERS
The two primary operational words in the Story of Noah are מים “Mayim” (Water) and מבול “MaBooL” (Flood). Note that both word begin with the same letter מ “Mem” which is derived from the word מים “Mayim” (Water) . And one might ask “How many days was the “Wash” and “Dry” cycles of the Flood. The answer is FORTY. And what do you think is the numerical value of the letter “Mem?”. And the answer is FORTY. This is a obvious exploitation of the numerical system that is lost in translation..
LINGUISTIC VISUAL LOSS
When one sees the מים “Mayim” (Water) the connection to שמים “ShaMayim” (Heavens) is quite obvious but gets totally lost in translation. Seeing the connection between WATER leading to HEAVEN leads one to the source of the rain and water as a vapor or gaseous form brings one to userstand the three states of water (solid as ice, liquid as water, and gas as vapor) drawing our attention to how important it is to our lives but also how dangerous it can be.
OTHER USES OF NUMBERS?
Then there is the Rule of 2’s and Rule of 3’s.
RULE OF 2’s
When the Bible repeats a word twice, either identically or with variations, it is telling you “PAY ATTENTION THIS IS IMPORTANT!” For example “Justice Justice you shall pursue.” or in the story with Moses judging the people from sunrise to sunset and his father-in-law sees this and responds “You will grow weary and the people will become weary” as Jethro instruction Moses on delegation and organizational structure in society. Moses, with all due respect, was a shepard most of his life and did not learn this. Even in the House of Pharoah, he was not in a position of authority although he most likely did get an extensive education which led to his writing skills and proficiency in Hieroglyphics leading to learning Hebrew from his mother and sister..
RULE OF THREE’s
When the number 3 is employed in the Bible, the usage indicates that the following is not only true but PROVEN. We now visit the story of Joseph while he is in prison in Egypt. The servants of Pharoah, the Butler and Baker, each have a dream the same night where one has 3 clusters of grapes on his head and the other has 3 baskets. Joseph interprets the dreams saying “In three days each will see his fate at the hands of Pharoah.” In three days Joseph’s interpretations of their dreams are PROVEN to be accurate. Next we turn to the giving of the “TEN COMMANDMENTS” before Mount Sinai. The People prepare for three days and then “REVELATION IS PROVEN” as they witness the Glory of Revelation with their own eyes and all the Thunder, Lightening, etc.
HOW ABOUT LINGUISTICS AND CULTURE?
Here is an ancient story that I just made up. There was an American tourist visiting Bethlehem and stops an Israeli on the street to ask him “What does Bethlehem mean?”. The Israeli responds: “Beit means HOUSE and LECHEM means BREAD. So it is HOUSE OF BREAD.
The Tourist then stops an Arab and asks the same question “What doe Bethlechem mean?” And the Arab responds “Beit means HOUSE and LECHEM means MEAT. So it is HOUSE OF MEAT.” Then with a little further research we find that “MILKHAMA” in both Hebrew and Classical Arabic both mean “WAR”. Note Arabic also has “HARB” which connect to the Hebrew “Kherev” or sword, “Khurban” (Destruction), etc. But often mistranslated “Jihad” means “STRUGGLE.”
The answer lies in the split of Jacob and his twin brother Esav. Jacob was agriculturanl and if he did not have bread on his table, it was not considered a MEAL. On the other hand Esav was a hunter and if he did not get his quarry and did not have MEAT on his table, it was not considered a MEAL. As such the world may be interpreted as the essential of the meal or life. But Milkhama also suggests “SURVIVAL”.
REVISITING MOUNT SINAI FOR A MOMENT
For a very long time Mount Sinai was believed to be Jebel Musa which is known today as Saint Katherines Monestary in in the Sinai Penninsula. But recent archaeologistts have found another potential location on the other side of the Red Sea in north west Saudi Arabia at Jebel Al-Maqla in the Al-Lawz Mountain Range. The top of the mountain is black suggesting it was burnt in the fires during the Biblical Story of the Ten Commandment and the subsequent Golden Calf story. So again we draw on our linguistic skills and Maqka in Hebrew suggests “STAFF” as in what Moses his the Rock and in Arabic the word means “Burnt”. So language or even multiple languages such as Hebrew, Arabic, Aramaic, Moabite, etc. all bring invaluable linguistic and cultural value to the picture which is so far beyond any translation. And that is what I am adding to the journey and legacy.
